Hailey and Janessa came to us as foster children at the ages of 2 years 4 months and a week shy of 8 months. They were found in a drug house in the worst area of our city. Their mom was a drug addict and prostitute and their dad was not in their lives. When we brought them home, they were dirty and their hair was matted. They were starving for affection and attention.
Hailey was willing to do anything to please, yet extremely shy. She quickly became a "daddy's girl" and remains so to this day. Janessa was very outgoing and happy. She was young enough that the life style she was in hadn't affected her as much.
God saw fit to allow us to adopt the girls about 2 years after they had come to live with us. It was a long, hard 2 years, but well worth it.
Today, both girls are well adjusted, happy, spirited youngsters. They are very close friends and love to help people. God has turned their lives around and we give Him all the glory for keeping these young ones from following the footsteps of their birth mother.
